softly smile, I know she must be kind

Oh, so cold. So COLD!!! Normally I fear/dislike intensely multiple exclamation points, but for once I felt they were necessary. I just came back from watching the Elmvale Santa Claus Parade and it was quite long, and really cold. There was also some confusion as to whether it started at 1 or 1:30, so basically I stood in the cold for an hour and a half. The parade itself was alright--brought back plenty of memories for me, as through Girl Guides and band and the OPP and whatnot I have marched in many, many parades over the years.

I just put on some Beach Boys in hopes that it would make me feel warmer.

My house is all weird now. My parents decided to redecorate while I was gone. Only the family room and the hallway have been affected as of yet but apparently this will be an on-going project for the next few years. Our new couch is supposed to come today or tomorrow...I can't believe my parents are throwing out our old one, as it is the world's most comfortable couch ever. I wish we had room for it in NOrth Bay Rock City but we totally don't--we already have three.

I got to see Gravity last night and he had a surprise for me. He bought me the puppy he's been promising for so long. It's actually one of those little Pocket Puppies, but it's kind of like a promise puppy (like a promise ring, I guess?) until we can afford the real thing. It's a little golden lab and I've named it Elliott.

I start my 30 hour Orientation to Teaching placement tomorrow at good old EDHS. I'm half excited and half nervous. It will be great to get back into a classroom--as time goes on I become more convinced that teaching is what I want to do with my life. Although, I must admit that the prospect of doing my Masters' is also becoming appealing...I think that if I do it I will do it in History. Rhiannon, BA(H); BEd; MA. Seems excessive, doesn't it?

This has become a long and excessive stupid entry, hasn't it? I apologize and I hope you're not too mad that you had to read all this drivel.
