I guess I should have studied instead of watching wrath of khan 8:14 p.m. & 15 December 2001
Today I am reading The Fellowship of the Ring out of spite. To be fair, I am actually interested in *finally* reading it, but a large part of my motivation comes from being irritated with Gravity, who has been reading it since September, so I've decided to read it in one day. I'm about 3/4 of the way through it now, so I'm taking a bit of a break. I can be such a bitch sometimes.
You know, what I wrote above totally makes no sense in retrospect, but at least I will have read "Fellowship" before seeing the movie.
Dad and I went shopping the other day and we came out really good from the Hock Shop...we got The Wrath of Khan and SEarch for Spock, as well as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Twin Peaks, Fail Safe (soem Cold War movie my dad claims is great) and The Spy Who Loved Me. The theme from that (Carly Simon's "Nobody does it better") was my parents' wedding song back in the day.
Tomorrow is Babar's choir's Christmas concert which apparently I have to go to, and I think I have to dress up. It's going to be long. Old friends of our family are coming up tomorrow, which is exciting, as I can't remember the last time we saw them. Laura and my mom have been friends since elementary school, and her eldest son Brian and I are the same age, and we've always been pretty close. He used to be a really cool guy, but I don't think I've seen him since we were...14, maybe?
Babar's watching S Club 7. Ha ha! Man, I wish 2Gether was on.
