in a big country, dreams stay with you

An eventful couple of days in my life, I think. I got to see "Fellowship of the Ring" on Monday, which I really enjoyed. Ian McKellen is so cool. As is Cate Blanchett. I so want to be Galadriel. (I love the way that name sounds.) I really want to finish reading "The Two Towers" and "REturn of the King" but I'm holding off til Sunday, because Dad and I are driving to Peterboro to pick up my grandpa and drive him to Kingston to my dad's sister's house. I got all kinds of neat stuff from the theatre, too. A tattoo of the Elvish writing on the ring ("one ring to rule them all"); a Frodo/Galadriel bookmark and a button. And eventually I will have a poster, too.

Gravity and I went out for coffee with T-bone later that night, which was really nice. T is one of my favourite friends, in that he's always interesting, and always willing to put up with me. I just wish Ihad more time to spend with him. I saw Brenna too, and that made me happy. I miss her.

And the best news of all--when I got home on Monday night, there was a letter from the university waiting for me. I have won a $500 award for excellence in my first year english course.

I'm still sick and essentially I've become a snot factory. It's pretty gross.
