are you giving me back my love
10:07 p.m. & 28 December 2001

I promise I will try to make his a more uplifting entry (my eleventy-first, I believe--yay me) than the last one. I imagine by now I've scared away all my readers, and if I have, I'm sorry.

The CD burner on my computer was officially pronounced DOA today by George the computer guy. Actually, that's not fair--it still technically works, it just won't burn music files, only 'other' data ones. My dad paid to have a new burner (16x10x40) installed and Norton Anti-Virus put on it. This really surprised me, 'cause, well, burners aren't cheap. When I said thank you and promised to pay him back at the first available opportunity (probably 6 months from now) he just said, "All I want is a good nursing home. That will be repayment enough." I hope he was kidding.

Babar just gave me a belated Christmas present (a common occurence in my family) of a pasta cookbook. I went out and bought seven more spices for my spice rack today, bringing the total upto twenty, plus what I already have in north bay rock city, so it's all good. I just hope I have the motivation to cook things.

I go back in a week. I have a dentist appointment on Friday (with any luck they'll tell me that my wisdom teeth are gonna have to come out, they hurt) and I'll probably have to go to the doctor at some point too because I have this really gross lesion on my arm. Mom says it looks like ringworm to her. Just so everybody knows, there is no actual worm in ringworm. It's a fungus--the same one that causes jock itch and athlete's foot. Nonetheless, this is a stupid thing to have to deal with.

No huge plans for the next few days, myabe some Disney Monopoly chez Kitana, which I'm definitely looking forward to. I love that kid. Hopefully we'll find us some Judith, too, as she goes back on the 2nd, and she's been pretty scarce lately.

I was going to make this a big looking back on 2001 entry but I don't feel upto it right now...maybe later, I guess. I know my audience will be riveted to their seats. Except for the audience part. Oh, and the riveted part too.
