Jaws was never my scene and I don't like Star Wars 9:35 p.m. & 24 January 2002
Long day today, but I'mg lad that I got done most of what I intended to and a good deal more besides.
My Shakespeare class has to put together a dramatic performance as one of our assignments and we're doing the last act of Hamlet. I'm the King. My ex-roommate Leslie (the psychohosebeast one) is the Queen, who inadvertently dies by my hand. Hee hee. I have this one line about how she's dead, and my delivery is completely deadpan: "oh. the queen's dead. yeah. how 'bout that?" (translate that into Shakespearese.) I think it's my completely sacriligious attitude towards things like this that will prevent me from ever being a graduate student. Hopefully it will make me a good teacher, tough.
Kori and I went prop shopping. Students on Stage is putting on a play called "Suddenly Shakespeare" next week. Both Kori and Mathman are acting in it, and I'm the ticket sales girl. Yay me. But hey, I get trusted with money. That's exciting.
We had a pretty exciting shopping adventure. We ran into Professor Hemmings in Sears, which was great. He's so cute. We contemplated helping him shop for clothes, but then decided it would be totally inappropriate for us to buy him clothes when he is responsible for our marks.
La Senza was having a uber-sale, and I was able to pick up a Valentine's Day present for Gravity man. Which had better be appreciated. Kori bought a flannel robe and a set of matching pyjamas, and it only cost her about $40. And in our house, we need the flannel.
I didn't have my computer running during the day today and I can't get over how cold it is in my room if I don't have it on. I keep my room heated to about 15C (this is cold. room temperature is 20C.)
I feel like I should have more to write about but the last couple days have been rather boring. I've started writing (creatively, that is) again because of my class and it feels good.
