It's survey-stealing time again. Blame her or her.
Best song to wake up to: hmm. "Here Comes the Sun".
Best song to play over and over after a breakup: I'm not sure this is exactly a 'good' song to play, but Clapton's "Bell Bottom Blues". or Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way"
Song that reminds you of the good times in high school: "I Melt With You" by Modern English. I know it was actually released closer to when I was born, but it is a very 'high school' song for me.
Song that makes you remember the hell that was high school: "gone are the good times" by the flashing lights
Song that reminds you of your mother: "Lukey" by great big sea.
Song that reminds you of your father: oh geez...ummm... "Man Of Constant Sorrow" by Rod Stewart or "Peace of Mind" by the Grapes of Wrath.
Best song to blast after a really bad day at work/school: "San Dimas High School Football Rules" by the Ataris or "Let's Hear It For the Boy" by Deniece Williams
Song you'd like to dance to at your fictional wedding to your current celebrity crush: "we're all alone" by Rita Coolidge
Song that makes you bawl every damned time: "bell bottom blues" by Eric Clapton (or Derek and the Dominoes, if you're being picky).

Best song to crank while driving 80 miles an hour on the open highway:
"Bicycle Race" by Queen
Song that makes you giggle to even think about: "The Hardest Part of Breaking Up (Is Getting Back YOur Stuff)" by 2Gether
Song that makes you think deep thoughts: "Blue" by Joni Mitchell; "A Day In the Life" by the Beatles
Song that always makes you dance, even in inappropriate places: "Susudio" by Phil Collins. No, really. It's a great dance song.
Song that reminds you of your very first crush, real or celebrity: House of Pain's "Jump Around", but it's more my friend Lauren's first celebrity crush than mine. (Matthew Lawrence in "Mrs. Doubtfire")
Song that never ever gets old, no matter how many times you hear it: "Revolution" by the Beatles
Song that you know all the words to, and can't help singing along with every time: "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" by the Pet Shop Boys with Dusty Springfield

Song that everyone else loves, but you hate: "This Kiss" by Faith Hill; most MGB stuff
Song that best represents your outlook on life: Right now--"In your eyes" by Peter Gabriel. Because I get so lost sometimes.
=======================================
so...I burnt my finger making supper. damn, did it ever hurt...I've never burnt myself like that before. Or at least not that it hurt that much. But this is right on the tip of my finger, and that would be why--I got all the nerves.
Why is it that whenever I go to work with the intention of doing actual work is the time when people come visit me at work? Most of the time I'm in there just to fill up my 15 stupid office hours a week, but as soon as I actually have stuff to do, people I haven't seen in ages pop out of the woodwork.
It was Greg yesterday, and I haven't really talked to him (beyond saying 'hi' in the hallway) since the beginning of the term. So when he suggested we get coffee, I couldn't say no. I hadn't realized at all how much I've missed talking to him. He's a lot of fun. Unfortunately we had a quasi-deep conversation that has resulted in a lot of thinking for me...and the last thing I need right now is to think.
