blackbird, fly...into the night 7:00 p.m. & 30 March 2002
Mmmm, there is little better than sitting at a computer with a nice warm cat on your lap. Of course, as I've been typing that, he became irritated and jumped off my lap and ran away. Always so ungrateful of my love...or maybe it's vice-versa. Who knows?
Not too much to report, as I haven't done much--I don't think I even left the house yesterday. Ah well. I wrote a couple pages of DasEnglishEssay but haven't made much more progress than that. We made Ukranian Easter eggs yesterday, which is really fun. I used to be quite good at it but my artistic 'abilities' appears to ahve waned in the past 5 years, and mine looked terrible. It seems like a million years since Megan and I took that course at the library here.
We went to Barrie today to check out computers and shoes and stuff, which was mostly pointless. I ended up buying some shampoo and conditioner when we got back here. Now I smell all tangerine-y good.
I'm still bitter about not having won anything more from Tim Horton's than a cookie this year. Dammit! I drink so much of the stuff, why can't I win?
I thought I had stuff to write about, but I guess I really don't. We're having ginger chicken&vegetable stir fry tonight. mmm. I've eeaten so much actual food in these past few days. Can't wait to have money again. Mmm, money.
I found one of my high school grad picture proofs last night (ironically my favourite of all of them) and it's now my mission in life to get it scanned at one of those Wal-Mart things that let you make copies. Because it's probably one of my favourite pictures of myself; one of the few times I've looked hot with short hair, and I look professional and together and happy and ready to take whatever this world wants to throw at me. Even if that's not really who I am, I'd like to pretend it for a while.
Meh. I wrote a treatment for a TV show called "CSIS Pieces" for my creative writing class. We're in the process of putting together some kind of website so you may actually be able to read some of my stuff someday, in the event that any of you would actually want to.
Anyhow, I'll write more tomorrow night. I'll have a story to tellyou by then.
