and maybe Marlon Brando would sit beside the fire 5:29 p.m. & 04 April 2002
Boo. Yeah. One more day of school left, and that's next Monday. Life is good. I actually went to Psych today, even though I didn't actually pay attention or take notes, but all the notes are on the web anyway, so it's nnot like it's the end of the world. We got our psych tests back and I got a 74. Which is pretty decent, it puts me at about a 75 in that class, which is definitely better than I was hoping for.
So I hung out with Michelle and bought myself a school bus yellow Nipissing long sleeve t-shirt. it's pretty sweet. It was half-price because it's the end of the year, so I think it cost me $15 or something. So I hung out in my office and pretended to write a play (I actually had an actual idea yesterday) for a couple of hours. Greg dropped by and we ended up listening to the Trail of the Dead, who are quite good.
Michelle and I ate lunch at The Wall and just gnerally hung out. It was cool. She's having a kegger tomorrow, and I got invited, but I really don't have any particular inclination to go. Beer? blah. Lots of people I don't know? Blah. But we are supposed to go for a walk tomorrow, which is pretty sweet.
So I came home and I've been cleaning up my room. 'Cause you never know when you might be having people over to see your room. I have a tonne of laundry to do but Mathman is hogging the washer/dryer 'cause he's going home to Wonderland for the weekend.
In reflection upon the last entry, it seems hard to believe that it's been five years since I went to France on my exchange. My life has really changed a lot since then. Remember those cheesy-ass "True Colours" tests you had to take in high school to find out about your personality. We had to do them in grade nine Career and Life Management (biggest waste of nine weeks ever), and I remember that I tested as Green, which is a highly science and mathematics-oriented colour. At that age, I did about equally well in everything (except French), and I loved math and science. But when I went to France in grade ten, the semester that I spent there I was supposed to be taking Food Studies, Canadian History, Introduction to Business Studies and Science. Attempting to teach yourself science out of a text book is not such a good idea. I came out with a 54 in science that year (still did pretty good in everything else though) and I never did well in science again (I'd had a 86 in grade nine) because I didn't have the necessary foundations. My math mark suffered in grade 12 because of an incompetent teacher and my own laziness, and so by process of elimination I ended up becoming an English/History-oriented student.
It is interesting to think, though, that if I hadn't gone to FRance that year, I could very easily have ended up as a biochem student at Queen's or something, and my life would have gone in a completely different direction.
Monty moved in the big TV yesterday. Swee fancy Moses, it's damn big. Stupid big, even. Our whole living room had to be re-arranged to accomodate it. The boys were playing Halo last night with the split screens, and the small split screens were the same size as the TV we used to have...and it's a pretty decent sized TV.
