it's all about taking the easy way out for you, I suppose 11:10 a.m. & 06 April 2002
Happy birthday to Kori, who is 21 today. We are going to her father's tonight for curry and ice cream cake. This should be interesting, as I have never had curry. Or met her dad, really.
Not much to report from the last few days. Kori and I went Value Village shopping yesterday and I got a reallly sweet retro shirt with flowers embroidered on it as well as a sweet plaid skirt (I think I can actually call it a kilt since it was made in Scotland). It's blue, with more blue and some yellow. In combination with my blue Docs and the right t-shirt, I'll be just as hot as Thora Birch in Ghost World. Okay, not really. But I can dream, right?
I also bought the Canadian Scholastic French edition of St. Exupéry's "The Little Prince" at a bookstore downtown for $8. This is excellent, as my French has been sucking lately, and this is one of my favourite books of all time. I would have liked to buy the English as it was much more nicely illustrated, but it was $15 or so and that seemed like a lot of money.
I also bought tea towels, but that was really the more un-exciting part of the day.
I've cleaned up my room quite nicely in the last couple days (and done a crapload of laundry, which was sorely needed) and now all I have left is to take the garbage out and maybe vacuum and clean the bathroom out and I can pretend that I've done everything I need to. I actually need to do my Orientation to Teaching Assignment for Monday, so maybe I should do that.
We watched the Amityville Horror on Thursday night and it was pretty creepy. Or at least it was to those of us with overactive imaginations.
