Quick update on The Hibou: I received my official letter of termination today from NUSU. I'm receiving April's pay (hereafter referred to as my "blood money") in lieu of notification. Bastards. The AGM is taking place on April 25th, coincidentally the same day I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out back home. Bugger.
I just looked at myself in the mirror and I look sort of like I've stepped out of the 80s. I'm wearing the rainbow-striped shirt I bought on Saturday, and my hair's up in a ponytail, and my makeup seems very 80s-esque, somehow.
Benjamin, Monty and Mathman went to Sudbury yesterday and bought a tonne of stuff. Benjamin bought a new computer for $500 at the future shop (not including the monitor) and Monty bought new speakers and a bunch of new DVDs, including a Kevin Smith boxset of Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy. It will be a wonder if I ever get anything done next year.
Today is my dad's birthday, which I keep almost forgetting. So happy birthday to my dad, because he rocks and is the coolest 49 year old man I know. I wanted to get him Paul McCartney tickets but I kind of forgot when they went on sale and then they were all sold out. which is just as well 'cause they were damn expensive.
I'm supposed to be studying for my history exam on wednesday but I'm not really making much progress, which is largely related to the fact that I don't care. Voltaire shmoltaire, right? No? ohhhh.
I'm going to attempt to redo the layout of this diary sometime soon, so you'll have to bear with me as I do that. Patience is encouraged and appreciated, as is your readership.
