New conclusion: My computer hates me. Or, more specifically, my parents' computer hates me. I think mine probably still likes me, despite my having left it in the hands of Benjamin all summer. All this pent up rage stems from my having added a huge entry complete with dancing knights, pink frilly edges and some of those tiny bacon wrap hor d'oeuvres last night, only to have the computer bite it because I was attempting to be sorted at a Harry Potter website.
So, with that in mind, today we shall see the NoFrills version of yesterday's update. I had a really busy week--aside from last night I basically haven't eaten here since last Sunday, because I've been on the go so much. I played Diplomacy again, and disgraced myself utterly, which is more or less what I assumed would happen. I got last pick of the countries, and ended up as Austria Hungary (which I'm not keen on) and got betrayed by Thisby and Hugh, and ended out the game with one army left. That said, I was tired, and my heart was not truly in it.
We all went out to Philpott's MegaFest on Thursday, which was fun, for the most part. I got to hang out with Surf, and he is going to lend me weird books, so it's all good. I did not get as drunk as I intended to (this is usually a good thing) and spent most of the evening being very quiet and somewhat anti-social. It wasn't like I didn't want to talk to the others, more just that I was enjoying the inside of my head.
Friday night was supposed to have been sushé in barré, only I got sick and so my excursion was cut short. I seem to have developed another head cold. I feel like crap. This, however, did not stop me from going to Toronto with benjamin to see the Barenaked Ladies. This was good times, as we got to see one of my favourite bands, the Flashing Lights. I'dknown that they were on the bill, but I'd assumed that since the concert started at 4 and we wouldn't be getting there uuntil closer to 8, we'd miss them. But we actually got there around 7:30, and the Lights came on about ten minutes later. They were so good--last time I saw them was about two years ago, in March of 2000 at Massey Hall (opening for Sloan). They are rock'n'roll goodness. The Ladies were good as well, we got some awesome "Lovers In A Dangerous Time", although I wish they'd played more Gordon/Maybe You Should Drive Stuff. It was good fun, though.
We h ung out yesterday in Barrie and I spent way too much money, as usual. :)
