This may be a short entry, I don't know how much time I'll have before my dad kicks me off the computer to go do something useful.

So I'm finally home again, and it's wonderful. As much as being here all the time makes me and my family crazy, they're so good to come home to...as are the kitties. The only part that hasn't been too great so far is that I *still* don't have a bed in my room, so I've been sleeping on one of those stupid self-inflating air matresses that is about 2 inches thick (read: NOT COMFORTABLE) and so I've been waking up at about 6:30 for the last two days.

Some cool googles for this page: "buh the zuh"; "south park girl guide"; "shooting teletech". I also tend to get a lot for either "halo drinking game" and "pidgeon language"...so maybe I should get around to posting something worthwhile.

Yesterday was Fall Fair day and it was pretty good. The elementary school we attended has really gone downhill since we left, but the high school spirit remains strong without our guiding influence (note: slight sarcasm there). The Squidge and Babar and me went to Barrie to Wallyworld (walmart) to get our pictures taken. OUr parents will have been married for 25 years in about a month, so we thought it was time they had an updated picture of us. Although, as Mike said to my mom yesterday, "25 years, eh? You could've been out by now, you know."

I finally bought Ann Marie MacDonald's "Fall On Your Knees" yesterday. I've been wanting to read this for about 4 years now, but I've always been too poor. Say what you will about Oprah and her books (I usually do) but thanks to Oprah making "Fall On YOur Knees" one of her book club books, it was re-released in North America, and became a best seller, which of course means that it was 30% off at Chapters...and I'd much rather pay $14 for a book than $21.

Today is Miller family thanksgiving in Toronto, so we are driving to Peterborough to pick up my dad's father and then to Toronto to eat, drink, and be merry with my mom's family. My dad is in the kitchen right now making the turnip, which I think is quite funny. The last time he was allowed to make something for our holiday meals, it was turnip as well, and he gashed his thumb pretty badly. So later that night at dinner, he told all of us kids that there would be a ten dollar reward for the person who found his thumb. Needless to say, no one under the age of 17 ate any turnip, and my grandma was not impressed with my dad. So he's apparently on "turnip probation" today.

I hate turnip, incidentally.

My dad also made a powerpoint presentation for his union's annual general board meeting next week. He downloaded The Nylon's acapella rendition of "O Canada" and synced it to his presentation of pictures from different parts of Canada...and that will be the national anthem played at the meeting. My dad is the king of geeks.

We're listening to the new Blue Rodeo album, which is good if pretty brass instrument/keyboard-happy. As my dad heard the first song, he said "Wow. Blue Rodeo sounds just like
