Mmm. It's been a busy couple of weeks, as always...and now I get to recount it in twelve minutes or less so I can go mkae myself something to eat before I head upto the school to go to work.

I had a great (if busy) weekend. Lots of turkey, lots of family (most of it, thankfully, not mine) and lots of Mike. I got to play with one of his baby cousins, who was named Noah and only a month old...he was really little and cute, and most importantly I didn't break him. Mike is adorable with little kids and babies. It's an odd thing, because while I don't have any plans in that direction for at least 6-7 years, if ever, I still find it extremely appealing that he likes children.

I've got an essay due next week that I have read the material for (Samuel Pepys' diary) and yet strangely I don't care. I got an 80% on my prospectus for my 'who killed Canadian history?' essay. hopefully I'll do as well on the actual essay.

I finally have a halloween costume in the works. I'm making it myself, too, which is really exciting. I am going to be a Twi'lek Jedi. I still need a Twi'lek name but I'm working on that part. (For those of you who are Star Wars ignorant, the Twi'leks are the aliens with the headtails.) My costume is going to be pretty scant, I think. I bought asspants that are a camel brown colour and lace up the front; a polyester salmon coloured shirt that i've made into a tube top; a beige tank top that I've sliced up the front to go over top of it (I'll be decorating it more later); a tonne of blue and silver makeup; blue-grey material to make my lekku (headtails) out of; and I made my Jedi robe out of two tan bathtowels. It looks surprisingly good. I've made my sketches of what I'm mkaing and so I may post them here later, though I will warn you in advance that i am not an artist.

Mathman is going as Boba Fett. Arwyn is going to be Imperial admiral Daala. Mike is going to be a random Jedi. I keep trying to convince him to be Corran Horn but I don't think he wants to...ah well. It will be a good night for us geeks.

I have a stupid cold right now. It's a stupid cold because it has impaired my ability to function at the same level as other human beings; ie, to think, reason and make sense of my life. I am in essence, one above ape. If even that.

I am considering going to work in Scotland next summer.

I have more to say but I will deal with that later...since I should really go eat now.
