and the windy winter avenues just don't seem the same 7:08 p.m. & 30 October 2002
Today was skip day, except apparently I was the only person who knew of such (or the only person who skipped). It did, however, work quite well, as I managed to avoid doing pretty much everything all day. I ent for a ride with Mathman to pay the rent, and we ended up stopping at Burger King to try their value tacos. Due to the lack of Taco Bell in North Bay (yes, I know it's wrong to love a place where the meat comes in a tube, but I do, okay?) we had high hopes but unfortunately the tacos were best described as 'ass'. Instead of grated cheese, they used a slice of processed, and put the taco suace on top of the lettuce at the top instead of on the meat. Yuck.
Then we went to Zeller's so I could get some gloves for my costume (at long last, Halloween really is tomorrow), and ended up looking at the toy section, where I found a new lightsabre for only $8.93. It's small and has a blue blade, plus a button to lock it in place when it isn't lit. Perfect for my halloween costume. I also found some Star Wars LEGO, a multipack of the Slave I and the desert skiff from Jedi for only $20...so I ended up buying it for Mike, thinking it could be a Christmas present. Turns out that it was actually marked down to $9.97, so mayhap I'll give it to him tomorrow as an "I miss you lots" gift.
Having spent less than I thought, Mathman and I trucked it over to the LCBO, where I bought mickeys of Absolut Vodka (sheerly on the virtue of it having a 'cooler bottle' than the Smirnoff) and raspberry Sourpuss, the drink of champions. I also bought a tester of Apple Sourz, which I quite enjoy. So tomorrow night will be good times, provided I don't kill myself in my 2 1/4 inch heels going down the stairs at the bar.
The remainder of the day has been fairly uneventful aside from watching Mallrats and finally putting my flannel sheets on my bed. I'll be warm and snuggly tonight.
It seems like a million hours until tomorrow night...but in 24 hours, I'll have my love back.
