Ah, the timebomb continues to tick. My room is a disaster, and while I do care, I am not motivated to do anything about it. Except maybe laundry. 'Cause, like, I have no clean clothes.
I just read that Pitchfork list of the Top 100 albums of the 80s. Strangely (or perhaps not, since I was born in '81) I only own 4--REM's Document, Reckoning, and Murmur; as well as XTC's Skylarking. all good albums. I would have had more if I'd counted the extended CD collection of my father, I think.
A pretty basic day today, I think. I had a Happy Meal for supper, and I bought formal tickets for me, Mike, Benjamin and Mathman, so formal should be good times.
I'm really starting to fall in love with Gordon Lightfoot's music. It's charming, soft...Canadian. I also very much enjoy Pearl Jam's new song. For something a little older but still cool, check out Book of Loves' "I Touch Roses". I used to hear it all the time on Retro Night on Rock95 back home and never knew who did it, because it was a live feed from a club; and it was on the radio this past weekend when I was at home, so I ended up downloading it and it's quite neat. I've also got a bunch of stuff from the movie "White Christmas" (part of my Christmas Eve tradition every year) which is really cool. I must admit to being a huge sucker for musicals.
