This entry will self-destruct. That is, if I don't first. I just finished helping the Mathman with an English essay for his Kid Lit class, and it will be interesting to see how that goes. It was difficult because I do't know what his prof was looking for, but I hope he makes out alright. I can't comment on content, but spelling and grammar-wise, he should be pretty clean. He's a good kid, and it's his birthday today.
So now I'm on to my own 18th century essay, and I'm lost. I went to see my prof today, desperately seeking help; as a result, I'm more confused than ever. He gave me a topic that wasn't one of the ones we were supposed to work on, and I'm not really sure that it makes sense. I figure I'll be okay, though, it's only 600 words, and I sneeze more than that on a regular basis.
It's been an okay couple of days. Mike got back a project he worked on for his package design class, and he got a 97 on it, which makes me really happy, because I gave him the idea for it. (A Harry Potter book/action figure tie in that was in the shape of a large, hardcover book). It makes me wonder how I would've done in a similar course to his...
Steph and I presented our Brebeuf: Hero or Madman today, and it went really well, I think. The vote ended up being 22 for madman and 9 for hero, but I mean 9! I still got 9. Which is a lot more than I thought I'd get, 'cause Brebs wore a spike belt, for god's sakes. The prof seemed really appreciative, too. Which is great. So I hope we get a good mark, but it's iffy, because she's given all the strong presentations fairly low marks. But, it's over, I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the year.
I got a surprise today from a friend who knows me mainly through this diary...she made me three CDs as 'study aids' *wink wink* and bought me a turtle shaped mood ring. I'm always somehwat surprised at the kindness of strangers, but it definitely went a long way towards making my day a lot brighter.
Yesterday I spent almost $200 of money that's not really mine (bless you, mastercard). One of the girls in the cast of the play I'm producing works at a clothing store, and they had an 'after hours' event where all the invitees got 20% off over and above the other deals they had...so I bought lots, though most of it is for Christmas presents. I got a gorgeous navy blue sweater for myself, though. :)
Then I came home and bought a stupid amount of stuff from Chapters.ca. Between buying sale stuff, my coupons and my rewards card, I turned $300+ of books into $100...it shall be a bookish Christmas, if my stuff ships on time. Which it had better, or I'm going to short circuit.
If I could have anything for Christmas, it would be Federation Replicators. They're so cool. I'd never have to cook and I'd have all these terrific meals...including the spinach cheese dip from Kelsey's...whenever I wanted.
