don't keep me waiting here 7:14 p.m. & 17 December 2002
Bleh. I hate this keyboard a lot. It's one of those optical Logitech ones and the keys on it have a tendency to stick. A lot.
Fairly uneventful few days. I saw Star Trek: Nemesis last night and I really enjoyed it. I'm a relative neophyte in the Star Trek universe, but I must say, I find it really fascinating/entertaining. Except for 'Special Data'. It's not a patch on Star Wars, I don't think, but very cool and fun nonetheless.
Mike and I met up with a bunch of the old SMATH crew at Cellarman's, and it was fun, if awkward. The people I know from SMATH are just such a fantastic group of people: they're fun, funny, silly, crazy, whimsical, and apt to start conversations with sentences like "If I was a pirate..." But when you don't really fit in with them, seeing them can be just another reminder of how much you're not supposed to be there. I did enjoy seeing everyone again, especially Jess and Trevor. I was disappointed to see that Cellarman's changed their wing sauce, though--it used to be good stuff.
I had a very 'nothing' day today; I seem to spend a lot of time doing stupid yet necessary things like clenaing out the fridge and shovelling the motherfreaking driveway. Mike came over before work and we watched 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' and then he left.
We're going to see The Two Towers tomorrow with his brother and some of his friends. I'm excited, and yet I'm not.
Almost everyone in my family is sick right now, and my parents are bickering because my dad spent $700+ on a digital camera without talking it over with my mom. She is pretty mad (understandably) and my dad just doesn't seem to get the part where he probably should've asked, or at least told her that that was what he wanted to do.
