So. The Two Towers? Well, I seem to be in the minority, but I was kinda underwhelmed by it. It was entertaining as a movie, and many of the actors were pretty neat (or just pretty) but on the whole it was...lacking. Viggo Mortensen is charming, though. Fascinating man, and of course quite easy on the eyes.

Some may feel that I'm being too much of an elitist; that the movie offended my purist/puerile notions of what's right. Suffice it to say that the movie takes great liberties with the book (Gravity Man's words). My words were more along the lines of "maybe instead of based on the book by JRR Tolkien, it should say 'may or may not bear some resemblance to some characters and situations in the book by JRR Tolkien'.

I guess it's too early to tell, and i would like to see it again, but I wonder how they're going to do the next one having changed so many of the key points in the book...
