the theatre, the theatre, what's happened to the theatre? 5:56 p.m. & 07 January 2003
Argh. This whole back to school thing is, at times, equal parts over-rated and sheerly delightful. My Canadian history class is lovely, but the $70 course pack for it was not. (Course packs are books compiled by our profs, composed of several different articles from different books, and they cost a fortune because of copyright payments and collating fees).
I worked this morning, which wasn't that bad. I called people about waiting lists for different classes, and stuffed envelopes, and filed--a pretty typical day at the office. I like my job for the most part; the people I work with are good fun (including M., one of my roommates from my first year) and it's not hard. Filing can be the most boring thing on the face of the planet, but it isn't hard for me to do, and I appreciate that part of it.
Mathman and I went to M&M Meats last night and I ended up spending way too much money. I got teriyaki chicken breasts and teriyaki steaks; a quiche (I hope it's good--frozen quiches usually aren't but I'm too much of a chicken to make my own quiche--they're yummy but not so great diet-wise) and peach juice mix. They had little cheese snacks too, and I wanted those but unfortunately they only come in mild and marble, and I'm more partial to the medium/old/extra old/nippy range of cheddars.
My tummy hurts. I just got a call from someone wanting to give me another MasterCard. Yes, because I need more debt. Actually, if I was going to get another credit card, I'd get one of those new Star Wars ones. They're pretty. and really, it's all about having 'pretty' credit cards.
I have a new wallet now, though, from Roots, so maybe it is all about having pretty cards to put in it.
I'm writing again. I need to stop being concerned about everything being perfect the first time around and just go with what I'm writing; worry about the technicalities of it all later.
