you're really going to hate this 3:33 p.m. & 06 February 2003
Gah. I honestly don't know, today, whether I'm coming or going. I ended up taking the afternoon off owrk because there's just no way I could have gotten everything done without doing so. I've been re-promoted to doing sound for the play all weekend, which is not what I want to be doing, but unfortunately we have now reached the point where there quite literally is no one else who can do it.
I hate my life.
I'm still not feeling 100%. It's like i"m playing bad video games where you can get your life bar back to 85% but there's always that something missing that keeps you from being perfect. There's nothing really wrong with me, per se, but I don't feel quite up to my normal standards.
I did get my new glasses yesterday though. It was the craziest thing: if you can remember back to the 'trying to get my glasses in north bay' debacle, where idiot-salesguy wouldn't let me get my glasses without the ultra-thin lenses that cost $300; I ended up ordering them from a different store in the same chain back home and having them sent to North Bay. Well, the super nice saleslady in Barrie managed to put in the ultra-thin lenses for the price of the regular ones, so now I have two pairs of glasses that don't look as though I stole the lenses from old Coke bottles. Actually, it's kind of sad to see how thick they still are, even as ultra-thins, but I'll deal. I think this is an important lesson in customer service. I sent the nice saleslady a thank you card today.
So now I have to remaster my CD of sound effects, eat supper, and go up to the school for work. Bah humbug.
