so many people say, girl you've got nothing but time
10:13 p.m. & 09 April 2003

I'm going to update now because it's been 8 freaking days. Holy crap. I honstly intended to update much before this, but in the face of rampant procrastination, my boy, essays galore and trying to study for my exams, I just haven't. To those of you who care, I apologize.

Meh. So, to recap the last week: school finally over (yay); I dyed my hair a dark copper brown and cut two inches off of it; school is finally over (I can't emphasize this enough); I wrote an essay on the weekend and still have one more to write; Mike came up a day early to surprise me, which definitely decreased the amount of work I got done; I wrote my first exam today and I got my essay back for 20th. I came out with an 80 on it, which I'm quite happy with. My essay definitely has some very problematic segments but I'm glad that my prof understood where I was going with it. She's a pretty tough marker on the whole, and very consistent. Most of my classmates feel like their marks are always largely the same from her, and I'm starting to realize how true that is: I've received a good deal of 78s from her. So, woot! for the 80. hopefully the exam went as well. I wrote for three solid hours and my hand nearly fell off. Thank god I have a week until the next one.

Clone High is an awesome show, guys. please watch it. If you get Teletoon, that is.

I'm in the home stretch now, which is greatly relieving, on the whole. Only a few more weeks until I will be home for four months, and back at SMATH, where there will be a summer of fun, or at the very least, my old friend Hugh. Actually, my sister Babar (the 14 year old) had an interview at SMATH yesterday for an experience contract, and she thinks the interview went fairly well. I think it would be fun to work with her--she's a good kid--although I remain somewhat apprehensive because, well, she looks like she's at least sixteen or seventeen, and there are certain among my male coworkers who might hit on her, which I'm extremely not cool with. Granted, she will be 15 by then, but most of the student staff is at least 19+, and that's just not right.

She is a good kid though, and she should know by Friday if she has a job or not. I imagine she should, from her impression of the interview and the fact that she's my sister. It sounds egotistical to say, but SMATH and Discovery Harbour have the (semi) joking reputation among the interpretive staff as being incredibly nepotistic. Or at the very least, most people who work there are related somehow to someone else who works there. Except me and a few other miscreants. But hopefully that changes, Babar gets a job.

Mike bought me a little R2-D2 figure to sit on my computer monitor by Captain Quantum. He has a button you can press that makes him light up and make R2 noises. It's awesome.

Anyhow, the bed does beckon, goodnight.
