where the ocean meets the sky I'll be sailing...
6:32 p.m. & 11 May 2003

Ooogh. Another long week. We finished our training this week and I must say that I feel fairly unenriched by the process. I don't like to have the attitude that there is nothing I can learn from my training at this point, but at the same time, unfortunately, the things I don't know probably aren't going to come up during training.

We did the True Colours personality test at work (along with a team excellence one) and I was once again a Green personality (and a What? personality for the other) which was quite funny, as nearly everyone who came out green was also a What? person. It amused me, anyway.

I'm not sure what else to say about the past week. It seems like a rather large blur right now, but that's quite possibly because I've had very little sleep today (maybe 3 hours). I don't know, I did stuff? WHMIS training, and a visit to Disco Harbour...spent time with my beloved Mike. I thoroughly enjoyed X-men 2...Dune (the book this time) was also good, though I liked some of the stylistic things from the miniseries better...

I went to Jess's house last night to play Cranium (best.game.ever) with Mike, Surf, MK, Mila and Lid; it was good times. Surf and MK drank one full forty of rum and 2/3 of a second forty; Mila drank most of a 26er of gin...I had quite a lot of vodka. And by quite a lot, I mean 4 or 5 ounces. How sad is that? I'm such a cheap drunk. It was good times, though; lots of fun...Surf is good people. He apparently missed me more than I would have imagined this year; we only worked together for one summer and the demise of my relationship with Gravity Man certainly contributed to me not seeing Surf as much...he really likes Mike, though, apparently he's asked Mike to look at some of the posters for the local film series.

We had a great conversation about modern lit, The Hours, and Tom Stoppard. Everyone shoudl read at least some Tom Stoppard, I think.

Unfortunately, I was up until about four a.m., and that is not one of my brighter decisions: I'll be wiped for the rest of the week.
