Man, what a busy couple of days. This whole semester is turning out to be stupidly busy, and will probably continue to be that way, so expect lots of updating here, the busier it is the mroe likely I am to procrastinate.
I had a lovely weekend with the Winter Classic. We won the curling on Thursday night, which was great, and I have a terrific bruise on my knee to show for it. Perhaps I should take it up next year if I have the chance. Curling is the good stuff. I didn't get to bowl, but Mike and I went out for a bit to support the team, which was pretty fun.
The Saturday was good times all around, though we didn't win...I played hockey and broomball and name that tune, and my D-sister goon gene* came out int he hockey/broomball and I got pretty aggressive and contacty for a non-contact game. But mostly it was a lot of fun (we had capes! with sixes! and a theme song!) and I'm really glad that we did it.
The boy is hanging around until tomorrow, which is quite nice as well. I had to tell himt hat I couldn't come home for his birthday, which almost broke my heart...but unfortunately I have neither the money nor the time to do so.
*My youngest sister is the athletic one in our family, and while playing in the final flag football game for our area, she broke the nose of the opposing teams quarterback (and didn't get carded) and then sprained the ankle of her replacement. So perhaps our violent nature is hereditary.
