yeah, yeah, yeah, we're the carebears
9:55 p.m. & 30 January 2004

I'm trying to find my perscription for my eyes, as I need to stop wearing my glasses all the time and make the transition back into the world of contacts. Unfortunately, it hasn't been in most of the places where I thought I put it last time I found it, and I suspect there might be a giant black hole that is sucking in all my important documents, because I can't figure out where they're all going off to.

So as a result I am cleaning out my computer desk drawers in hopes of instilling some illusion of organization in myself as I concentrate on getting all my grad school crap filled out. Random crap I have found in my drawers:

  • old busines cards from the Hibou I just never threw out
  • fake, dollar store Swiffers that don't really work, often moving the dust around instead of removing it
  • half a roll of Rowntree's candy that is left over from my trip to Scotland. ridiculously stale, of course
  • a tape measure
an autographed copy of one of my prof's book of poetry
    • a box of screws with anchors
    • pictures from SMATH and empty pictures frames
    • my R2D2 watch
    • several bottled water caps
    • Heritage Canada temporary tattoos
    • an empty condom wallet
    • zip discs for the zip drive I don't have
    • A Bick's Pickle Pin
    • Canadian Tire money
    • a deck of tarot cards
    • a Grow Your Own Tree kit
    • a tooth crush
    • How random is that?
